Long Board Plague is killing the Point

There is a plague of longboarding kooks at Pleasure Point. today I got finned by yet another out of control kook. It hurt a lot. When I told him he hurt me, he replied with obscenities Yes, there are a few talented local guys who are fine out there and surf great, but these days it is so scary to sit in the take off zone and watch three guys who can hardly stand up coming straight down and through the pack, falling over each other. I'm not the violent type, but someone needs to direct these guys down the beach. I'm tired of being hit by these huge pieces of junk and ten inch fins.

I hear you Shrumpy but there are kooks on all types of boards.Its like a perverted version of what surfing should be.The surf schools are turning out barnies at a record pace.Just remember a kook is a kook no matter what they ride.

Getting hit by any car or any board is going to hurt.I almost got taken out by some kook on a short board just the other day.Totally stinkbug and out of control,instead of holding onto his board he just jumped off and shot his board like a spear.

Stand up D-Man. If you want to keep the riff raff out then you need to take out the stairs. In the old days only the strong of heart scrambled down the cliff or paddled around the rocks. No use bithing about it if you can do something about it.

Take a hand saw and some of your beat down buddies and take out you frustration on the stairs. Quit dropping idle rants and drop the stairs instead.

Yeah right, before the stairs they were no crowds or kooks at the Hook. I wish. It's always been crowded. And the funny thing is we all complained about how the stairs, the paved parking lot and the bathrooms were going to ruin the spot. But who's there everyday sitting on the stairs, enjoying the toilets and using the showers...us. Truth is the stairs rule. Way better than scaling tree roots. The bathrooms are way better than the porta-potty and we don't have those huge mid winter muddy potholes that trashed your suspension. I love it. We all love it. Stop fantisizing about a past that never even existed.

to all you kooks out there if you don't know what dropping in on some one is (learn or get out of the water) or if you'll do it and do know and just think it's ok I just almost lost my eye at the hook!! next time it won't be me, I'll make sure your eating my fins bitch. surfers are nice people but if you take advantage of it you will get the beat down and don't be a little pussy and try to run to privets it will only get worse and if I don't find you some one else will get you because your a kook that needs to take his lumps.

To whoever threw all of those full cans of garbage and recycling off the cliff.FUCK YOU!!!I could'nt even believe my eyes this morning.Garbage and shit all over the beach,dumped on purpose by some idiot.Me and a couple of guys picked up all the broken glass and trash off the beach and put the cans back where they belong ,but there is still a ton of garbage up on the cliff that some body will have to repell down to get.What the fuck is the matter with people????Why would anyone dump 5 full cans of rotten garbage on a beautiful beach??? whoever did it is a no good cocksucker and I hope they burn in hell.

Southside swells

I here on the other "southside" oahu. It was 12ft and sometimes bigger all last week from some freakish storms off new zealand. It's nice not to have to wear a wetsuit. And it's nice to get some solid waves. It looks like it's pretty small over there these days. I'm getting used to it over here.

SC summertime blues

I don't miss the summer traffic, june gloom, flatness, and otherwise crappy conditions in SC. But, it's better when I am at now. I grew up in the Watzone. We get wind swell and north swells that miss SC and better wind conditions during the summer. If you are bored, go bass fishing or head to the cap pier. Go beach fishing for stripers or perch in the Watzone. Go for a drive up the coast. Go camping in Big Sur. Head to SF for some excitement. There is a lot of crap to do if the waves are flat. Some say Hawaii is paradise. Paradise ain't NICE when it's full of Ice and Vice. Crowded waves, crowded city, plenty of trannies with their girlfriends, that kook "Dog" Chapman, just a dirty place. But, I'll be back surfing da beaches in September. Just in time for the waves to start picking up. Yes, you'll know where I'll be found....

Yeah, what's up buddy. You ever try Loch Lomond up in Felton? Nice place. There are other places south of SC that are cool too. Coyote is allright. Big Fish. If you head up north there is another spot. It's got good fishing. Park up at Laguna's. Head towards the beach(south). There is a hidden pond where the action is hot during the summer. Yeah, get on it, fella. There's plenty of action waiting for you.

Hey, brother. I was kidding about Laguna's. Unless you wanna fish for some cockfish. Seriously. Pinto is great..if you got a boat. Try going to some other lakes around Watsonville. Need to creative about your access to them. Cause they are "secret" or restricted. Otherwise, go over the hill to Morgan Hill to Coyote, Uvas, or Anderson. The small lake at Coyote is kinda fun. Good for chilling. I got a 4 and 6 pounder there. Good luck.
